To Sarah's family:
I just learned yesterday of Sarah's passing when I checked the obituaries. I use to work with Sarah at AUL and recently several weeks ago had thought it was odd I had not heard from her so I left a message on her phone telling her I hoped she was doing okay because I had not heard from her in awhile. I didn't realize the Lord had taken her home. Sarah always had something interesting to say and I particularly loved hearing about her pets, Mary Grace and Peggy Sue when I worked with her. Then later after I had left AUL learned of her loss of these lovely pets that she adored and then learned of her cool Black cat named Buddy and her more recent pet, Harry, her 2 year old Poodle that she rescued earlier this year. She had waited to adopt him until she knew she was all clear on the Cancer. Then later after getting him she found out she had a new spot on her Lungs but the way she talked it was not going to be as bad as her first round of Cancer. She must have been much braver than I would ever be. I will miss hearing stories of her little pets, admiring nature and hearing what all she has done on her house and her new toy, her jeep that I hear one of her sons had given her. I remember her talking of her sons too and of course heard about her parents when they were both living. May you rest in peace Sarah and may comfort come to your family at this sad time.

Sarah's wit, word-nerdiness, train-loving-ish, courageous, kind and generous self touched me deeply. I am certain she is smiling knowingly and nudging us all forward to keep up the good fight.

Sarah was my friend. I loved her for our engaging, playful conversations. Ever supportive and quick to speak the truth; Sarah will remain in my heart forever.

You will be missed tremendously <3
