My name is Joan Prosser and I worked for John or, as he was to me, Mr. Burger in 1951 - 1953 as a 20 year old clerk in the Allison metallurgy department (Plant 3). My husband, Joe was in his third year at GMI and this was my first real job. He was a wonderful boss and human being and I have always remembered him and wondered about him. My husband, did well at Allison Gas Turbines and also worked on the Apollo fuel and oxidizer tanks. Just wanted to let his family know how important he was in my life as he helped me gain confidence in what I could do. After Joe's graduation in late 1953, he also spent 4 years on active duty as a Navy Officer as John did. He retired from Allison in 1989 and passed away in 2012. I was not able to attend his calling due to being out of town. I really would have enjoyed meeting you and telling you that even after all these years he was fondly remembered.

I so enjoyed visiting with John and Sandy over the years as neighbors. John always had good stories to tell and Sandy had such a great laugh ! My deepest sympathies to Cyndy and family.
