Here it is the middle of July 2014 and I have just learned of Dick Ford's death
through the Acacia Fraternity Indiana website the creators and maintainers of which I thank sincerely because I would not have known of it otherwise.
Dick came to my wedding and I visited
his lake cottage and rode in his boat.
At Indiana university I remember having
a lot of meals with him at Acacia Fraternity and how he loved baked potatoes and sour cream!
Also, he liked Broadway Musicals
as a university student, especially "Gypsy" and we would act out the "Curtain Up, Light the Lights" part with me dancing in the fraternity living room and him on the light switch on the wall for the chandelier.
Most of my memories of Dick are of that fraternity experience and he made
it very enjoyable for us all. A kind
fellow, a very intelligent one and a cultured one.
He went on to much bigger accomplishments and experiences. His loss is deeply felt by me. I am in deep grief.
