We are all born into suffering.

It leaves our eyes moist and confused, but we fight through it because we have faith that God has some unforeseen plan.

Maybe our pain, somewhere down the line…somewhere far away…lifts the burden off our brothers and sisters…

Maybe our pain will build bulwarks of strength in the hearts of those who watch us….

If we are lucky, we may get to see the seed of our pain grow to gardens of peace in those closest to us…

When God finally decides that our purpose is fulfilled, he calls us home.

If we lived a love in our hearts, if we kept our faith, if we were an example for our children and loved ones, we receive the Peace of communion with our Lord.

Few have suffered as much and with such dignity as Robin. God chose to infect this effervescent personality with a demon disease, and it's so hard to know why.

The thought of all of those years of pain and tragedy…it doesn't make sense. It hurts us. We feel this darkness and don't know what to do with it.

Faith can give us light.

Our eyes are blurry with grief and our mouths are bitter with the rivers of our sorrow, but through that, faith can give us life.

Our time here is not for nothing.

We are all bricks in the building of life. Each one is essential. Each one, even the ones beaten cracked by the storms of fate are needed for the building to stand.

We love, so we grieve…but we can also smile.

Why?

Because we love…

Because we know her suffering is ending…

Because we know God's warm light is a welcome and blissful embrace…

Because we know God has finally called her, she is joining Him, and her reward is better than the pain this life made for her.
