I saw Al Davis on Park Avenue one day and introduced myself as a "long-time Raider fan". He shook my hand and asked why I wasn't "wearing silver and black?" The whole conversation lasted 30 seconds; but I brag about it like it was an hour. God bless Al Davis.

First and foremost my heart and prayers go out to the Davis family. Mr Davis was one of a kind, you will never see a legend like that again in the NFL. People like that don't come once in a lifetime they just come once and if it was during your lifetime you were lucky. For your passion for the game of football, for building the greatest team in sports history, for your devotion, honesty and commitment to excellence i thank you, WE ALL THANK YOU. R.I.P Big Al and may the Raider tradition NEVER EVER end. Win Lose Or Tie, Raider Till I Die.
