Don was one of a kind. I'll never forget the first time I met him, I was working in the concession stand at the Alameda Golf Course, and he harassed me from day one! He'd joke about introducing me to one of his single nephews if only I were older. What we didn't know that four years later I'd walk in his Mother's house with one of his nephews, and that second time I met him, I had one glass of wine at dinner, and he called me a cheap date, then teased his nephew about only dating girls who drove Camaro's. He was my sons favorite Uncle. As Anthony got older he'd share stories about the times he'd spent with Uncle Don and the smile and sparkle in his eyes showed the love he had for him.
He was one of the strongest, toughest, most loyal, loving, funny family men I'd ever met! One of a kind, without a doubt.
He and Patt raised a wonderful family, three very strong daughters, who have all blessed them with handsome and beautiful grand children and a Great-grandson.
He and Anthony are together again, with all of our other loved ones who have gone before us.
Rest in peace Don! My heartfelt condolences and love go out to the entire Carmignani family.
