My name is Harrison James Moran. I am a senior at Winfield City Highschool in Winfield Alabama. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and I run for ther school. I hope at this time to express my abundant gratitude for men like Sgt. James Grissom. I told a little of my life only because it's men like James that enable such an easy and comfortable life. I hope the family of Sgt. Grissom can find comfort knowing that the citizens of this country appreciate such a sacrifice as this. From the reading i have done he seems like a wonderful man, a man with a good heart but tough hide. However, I know I can never understand exactly what his family is feeling at this time. I can only say,I hope you can find comfort in the the Lord and knowing that his sacrifice was not in vain.

James,
I know we haven't really had a chance to talk since we graduated the course but you will never be forgotten. The many nights shooting pool and late nights going to McDonalds. I only just now heard what happend. May you rest in peace.

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. James will never be forgotten.
For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I'm home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I'm only a civilian
And I don't even know if it's allowed
But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
For those missing in action;
for those who didn't make it home.
I know you're in God's presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.
I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you .
I Salute You.

Dear Jim, Peggy and Becca,
it took me this long to reply. It was a shock to me when I read about Jimmy's death. I realy dont know what to say. I keep looking at his picuture, also when he was little and playing with Christina, what a sweet child. Sending you a BIG hug from Germany and want you to know that I am thinking of you. Even though I am very far away. Please, should you ever come back to Germany, I live in Munich and would love to have you as my guests. My home is your home! Christina also expresses her sorrow.
Kind regards

It has been years since I've seen you guys, but I think of you often. I'll always remember how you introduced Deanna to Awana Club and me and the girls to Fairhaven. I am so sad to hear of James' untimely death. I hope you are proud of his service to our country. I'm sure it is still hard.
