My condolences to the Blanda family. I went to grade school and high school with Rick back in the 1960's. Knowing the Blandas was something special I remember and I have followed Mr. Blanda's career with much interest over the years. Once again, my prayers and sympathy for your loss.

Watched all your plays - the name Blanda
has never been forgotten. You were a great football player for all of the Bay
Area fans. Hope my dad can shake your hand at the gates of heaven.

George Blanda was my favorite player when I was a kid growing up. For my 13th birthday. my dad set it up for me to meet George and get his autograph and a picture. Rest in Peace Mr Blanda

George was so terrific on the field and off. I enjoyed those Raider victories so much. He was one of the great Raiders that no one will ever dethrone. Going to miss you, George, love to watch those old games.
