Watched her most recently on Young and the Restless. Never missed One Day at a Time. I am Valerie Bertinelli's age and the show was very important to me. It had everything. Ms. Franklin was a gem! There should be a TV special done to honor her by the girls and " Sneider". RIP Bonnie!! You were great!!

One day at a time
Sweet Jesus
May you rest in peace.
Paula, Philip, Tyler , Helen , mike. We all watched one day at a time. We all talked the minute we heard of your passing. It was a very sad day for all of us. Sad that your gone. But relieved god has taken you home. No more suffering. May you always be at peace.

To the family & Friends of Bonnie, I will always remember you on one day at a time. But it was not the show that made me follow your carrer. Although the shoe was great. I thought you just had this feisty but at the same time compassion and caring about you. You were strong. But gentle. You were opinionated, but fair and open minded. You never seemed like you were shoving women's lib down our throats. But at the same time we were being heard. Now that's real talent. I recently caught you on the young and restless. As usual no one could have pulled that off but you. Even as a nun. You had spunk, fire, and a whole lot more. I applaud you in your life and will continue to applaud you in death. What you have left on this earth will never parish. You will always be remembered and loved. Thank you for sharing not only your talent but your time on this earth with all of us. Well done Ms. Franklin, well done.
WE GREW AND LOOKED UP TO HER AS KIDS TO NOW AGE 47. WHAT A WAY TO GO. YOU ARE SO LOVED BY ALL OF US WHO ARE YOUR SURVIVORS BUT MOST OF ALL THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND THE LOVE OF GOD.

So sad for Bonnie to die at 69. She was a great actress. More research is needed on healing pancreatic cancer, most people only live a few months after receiving this diagnosis. I lost my stepdad in 1989, with chemo he only lived 6 months. It also took Michael Landon's life in a few months. We need more people working on cures!
My condolences to family and cast mates.May the Lords face shine down upon you.She will be missed.

To Mrs. Franklin: I worked for Bonnie back in the 70s -- personal assistant -- and I will never forget how kind she was to my 85-year-old grandfather when he came to visit me in LA. I took him to the set and she spent time with him and showed him around and gave him an autographed picture and generally was just so attentive. It meant a lot to him and to me. My thoughts are with you.
Randi
First, I want to give my condolences to her family & friends! Their loss is at a personal level and I pray they receive comfort & peace. Ms. Franklin is/was a wonderful actress - I can remember so many of the ODAAT episodes - many of which inspired me to be a better person & to not give up! I also wish to applaud Ms. Franklin for her portrayal of Margaret Sanger - a very strong woman fighting for women's reproductive rights!
Second, I would like to curse pancreatic cancer. Sadly, this disease is often discovered so late that the patients are basically given a 6-month death sentence. I watched my dad lose his battle to this dreaded disease. I pray for more research and for the people touched by this disease.
May God bless Ms. Franklin for her time on this Earth & now welcome her into her Heavenly home.
I watched One Day At A Time religiously and loved it. And I loved Bonnie Franklin's character. She will be missed. God bless you Bonnie.

another smiling angel in the heavens my condolences for the family
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I was a teenager when One day At A Time first came on tv. I loved that show and watched faithfully every week. The show brought to light so many delicate subjects. it was not ony entertaining, but a learning experience too. Last year, I was able to enjoy seeing Bonnie Franklin again on my favorite soap Y&R. It was when her stint on the show came to an end, that I found out Bonnie had pancreatic cancer. RIP Bonnie, you will be sorely missed.
That was the best show I've ever seen on television. I was going through the exact same things. It made me feel normal. What a sweet, pretty lady.

Being a single mom on TV showed women and girls (myself then a teen) that women can be strong. She meant alot to me even though I never met her. May she sit in the palm of God's hand and her family be comforted by his love.
We are going to miss her so much. I remember watching her with Valerie Bertenelli on One Day At A Time. The last time I saw her was on the Young and the Restless. Her family is in our prayers. Bonne Rest in Peace! You are now one of the Lords angels. We love you and miss you!
