I would visit Dr.Lee at Rosegate quite often with my Husband, William Butler. He called me "The Italian!" We would discuss Italian food and he wanted to know if I was a good cook.
He would quiz me on Italian history and cities.
He was so much fun.
My heart goes out to the Lee Family. Please know that you are in my thoughts.
After I left the Air Force in 1966, I needed a dentist, so my Mom ,a patient of Dr. Lee's, introduced us. He liked to laugh and joke around. He loved to read and we could talk about everything. Even after he retired, he still came to the dental office where we could visit. I remember he would make me cheese toast and tea.
He was a lot of fun. I am going to miss Dr. Lee.
I am sorry for the loss to the Lee Family.
Russell and Liz, From what I read, your dad was an amazing man, having accomplished so much with little help. Wish I could have met him...May his wonderful memories ease your pain and carry you forward, we are with you in spirit and lift you in prayer. Love, Marie and John Rivas
We share your sadness at his passing and your happiness in knowing that he is no longer suffering. He lived a long and full life lived with the satisfaction and gratitude of seeing his son, Russell, selflessly devote so much of his time and energy to his care and well-being. May we all be so fortunate to have someone like Russ to be concerned for our well-being and willing to carry on our values and concern for "all creatures great and small" into the future. (Appreciations to Russ' Liz too for her part in his care. What a dad! What an amazing son and duaghter-in-law!
I didn't know he was from Hanalei, my favorite place in the world. He is so missed here at Rosé Gate and his memory will be cherished. Thank you for sharing him with us. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Russell, we are very sorry for your loss. It's not easy losing a parent and you have our support. I remember visiting with your dad when I would go see my mom and they shared a table during lunch. He would tell me to get a helmet for my mom in case she fell she wouldn't hurt her head. Thinking of you, Rose & Steve Ledon

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved father and grandfather. We know he was the best supportive parent a child could ask for. May his legacy and wonderful memories live on. All our best to the entire Lee family.
Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
