I am very saddened by our loss of Lori. I met her 12 years ago, when she and Brett came to KTVU to promote their PBS film, "How I Coped When Mommy Died." Like Brett, I lost my mom to cancer when I was very young. The film and its message shook me in a very profound way, because I had lived a similar tragedy. Over the years, Lori and I became friends and colleagues and worked on many projects together. When she became an author, I was thrilled to have her back on KTVU. She encouraged me when I became an author, too. She was a kind and generous soul, who did so much for worthy causes in the Bay Area. God bless you and your family my friend. You touched so many lives, and so many people - including me - are better off for having known you!
