Bob Poten Obituary

Robert Arnold (Bob) PotenBob Poten, 76, died peacefully at home on September 29, 2012. He spent most of his life on Long Island, NY until his retirement years which he spent on Hilton Head Island, SC and in Ft. Myers, FL. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed family-camping and traveling. Before starting his 30-year mathematics college and high school teaching career, he served 4 years in the U. S. Air Force. He is survived by his loving wife, Kay, of 53 years; 2 daughters, Deborah (Jeff) and Bobbi Sue (Tim); 4 grandchildren, Jason, Timothy, Kevin, and Kaitlyn and his brother, Peter. He was predeceased by his sister, Susan. A reception to meet the family and celebrate his life will be held at The Forest CC on Saturday, October 13th from 3-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to Hope Hospice at 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
