Mrs Papadakis was this little ball of energy. A firecracker if you will, who was always very gracious and made me feel welcomed in her home. I was fortunate to have known both Mr & Mrs Papadakis, and I extend my condolences to the entire Papadakis family.
Colleen PAPADAKIS Passed away. What can I say..... but my life was forever changed when COLLEEN PAPADAKIS wrote my mom a letter... (((((((No such things as emails .)))))))) And asked if my brother Steve would join the Olympians He was ten and I twelve years old , they did not need girls. But she said ok. ..........Because My my mom wrote her back and said ........she could have him but only if I could join as well. This was my first experience with the kid's from church and this little Woman named Colleen ......she was just all over the place ......and in Greek woman form....... pushy.......( Years later when my mom and I started Nea Elias for the Assumption L.B.) Did we understand how hard being a start up group was and pushy meant you were pushing to make the group a success. COLLEEN - she made everyone laugh and was a sweetheart. This family was truly a loving and giving family. As I write this I am brought to tears , I loved Colleen and George .......I hate coming home and knowing I won't see Colleen in the cooking area. And George with his cigar .........carrying Ouzo in his jacket ...... AT OUR FESTIVAL. I KNOW THAT THEY ARE IN HEAVEN AND TOGETHER. BUT THIS MAKES ME THINK how many times people in your life......... had a huge impact on your life .......which has an impact on others. LISA CRISTINA AND MICHAEL. I AM SAYING PRAYERS FOR YOU ALL .........YOUR PARENTS HAVE WONDERFUL KIDS AND I CAN ONLY SAY Zoe SE SAS..... COLLEEN PAPADAKIS YOU ARE FOREVER ALIVE IN MY HEART . SAY HI TO GEORGE. AND AND DR. Dr. TONY MENTAS .....and Georgia Karidakis .GREEK DANCE AND GOYA .........IN THE 70's ... NOT OLD SCHOOL . BUT THE FOUNDATION FOR US ALL.......AND ALL THE FAMILIES WHO ENJOY FDF ......THIS GROUP OF PEOPLE IS HOW IT STARTED.............. YOU LEFT US WAY TOO SOON. MAY HER MEMORY BE ETERNAL. AND THANK YOU FROM THE OLYMPIANS and all of the other groups that followed. COLLEEN BABY YOU DID GOOD
Dear Family; We are sending our thoughts and prayers to the entire family. Colleen was an inspiration to us all and was the reason we were involved in Greek Dance. Our Staff will also miss seeing her for her weekly lunch. God Bless and Zoi se Mas

Dearest Colleen, For those of us involved with Greek Folkore, you were a wonderful inspiration, and your steadfast dedication in preserving the dances and traditions of the Greek people set an example for the rest of us to follow. Thank you! Aionia sou i mnimi!
Lisa, Christina & Michael: Was so saddened to learn of your Mothers passing this past week. She was truely a treasure and one's sense of humor not forgotten. I still dearly miss your Father as well. One could say they're both back together. Both them made me so welcome to Signal Hill when I first arrived on the scene in the mid-sixties. We will all do it again one-day, this side or the next. My warmest personal regards at this sad time.
Sending you prayers and love from our family!!
Sincerely, Shirley Monahan Family
Your mom was such a sweet, fun friend. I will miss her very much. Good-bye to a super woman. With love....
Dearest Colleen-A debt of gratitude is owed to you for being a leader and a pioneer in Greek dance. You made many wonderful memories possible and they are forever etched in my heart. When I dance, I do so in your memory. Memory eternal!
