My deepest condolences to Harry and the rest of the family on the loss of their beloved Father. My parents (Adán and Teresa Sequeira of Nicaragua) were well acquainted with both Dr. and the late Mrs. Bateman; the nicest and loveliest of people. My family had the opportunity to meet "the girls" (Jane, Karen, and Bonnie) at different intervals during their periodic visits south and were always moved by their grace and warmth.
Dr. Bateman's generosity of spirit and zest for life were the stuff of conversation way past his departure back to the States -- With fondest memories MTS

I was lucky to work with Gordy in the 70's and 80's in the OR at Memorial as his patient's anesthesiologist. What a fine doctor, gentleman and great sense of humor. We will miss him and his example of a committed and caring physician. Blessings to his family and a life well lived.

Very well respected physician.

Our father, Bill Nott, was a long-time acquaintance of Dr. "Gordy", both of them being boatowners and sportfishermen. Upon our father's passing in 1997, Gordy graciously took many of the Nott family members to Catalina on the "Fighting Lady" to spread Dad's ashes. We did this, but we also made an outstanding catch of yellowtail and calico bass...just as if Dad was looking down on us.

On behalf of the Nott Family, I wish to express our condolenaces to his 5 children and the rest of the Bateman family. He was a very nice man, great doctor and humanitarian; a real credit to our society.
