Leland was always larger than life for me, when his daughter, Allyson and I became best of friends in 1967 our worlds were forever intertwined. He was always attentive and had 'time' for us. He taught me so much over the years of camping, hiking, fishing in Idaho, campfires in the desert... I always felt a part of the family, even after we all us 'kids' went to different corners of the world. I valued my longtime relationship with both Leland and Julie, they were my surrogate parents and I feel deeply for the loss to the family... to all of us. Rest easy Leland, you have a built a legacy to be proud of. I will always love you.
