I first met Sam when I worked for the City of LB Consumer Affairs Department in the 70s. I would visit his Drivers Education classes and speak to the students about buying a car. I could tell from the responses and interactions of the students that Sam was a great teacher. I enjoyed re-connecting with Sam through the Fitness and Wellness Center at LBCC in recent years. I was always amazed at his busy schedule that always revolved around service to others in the community. He influenced so many lives in such a positive way. He will be missed.

Mr. Dimas was my driver's ed teacher at Poly. He was a warm and caring man, with lots of patience. May he rest in peace. My condolences to the entire "Dimas" family. Juanita Sams - Long Beach Poly "Class of 68"
