Thank you Adam.

I remember that day in Kirkuk, standing at attention at this ramp ceremony, when all three Navy EOD heroes flag draped coffins were loaded onto that C130. The whole base turned out, Army, Navy, Air Force. It was the most difficult day of my life. It's hard to stand at attention, saluting, when you are a 49 year old grizzled sergeant, and you can't reach and wipe the tear that streamed down your face. The only comfort was that I was not alone. I have moved on in my life, and tried to put this all behind me, but Memorial Day is tough. There will be no backyard barbecue, no Memorial Day sales, no traveling with the family. Just this day of remembering the heroes we lost.

My heart goes out to the family.
