Charles Annable Obituary

Annable, Charles J 5/19/1926 - 5/14/2015 Jackson, Michigan Beloved husband, father and grandfather died on May 14, 2015 at age 88. He is survived by his wife Karen and their children, Peter (Tracey) Annable, Mary (Hamilton) Williams, Elizabeth (Jonathan) Williams and grandchildren Clark and Connor Annable, Margaret and Philip Willliams and Lillian Williams. He is also survived by his daughter Kim (John) McGraw. Charles served in the Army during World War II and helped to rebuild Leyte Island in the Philippines immediately after the war's end. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1951. He spent most of his career at the Consumer's Power Company as a purchaser of electrical equipment, from which he retired in 1986 after 32 years of service. He was a devoted family man and an avid wood worker. He loved spending time at the cottage in northern Ontario that he and 3 friends built in 1971. A memorial service will take place on June 3 at 10:00am at St Mary's Star of The Sea Catholic Church, 120 E Wesley St, Jackson, MI. Interment will be at a later date in Pine Hill Cemetery, Cheboygan, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions in Charles' name to the Jackson Interfaith Shelter, PO Box 4411, Jackson, MI 49204-4411 or to the History Center of Cheboygan, PO Box 5005, Cheboygan, Michigan 49721-5005.

Karen, Peter & Mary, I am very sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. He looks the same as whenI last saw him, in the 80s. He was a good man and a wonderful friend to my mom and dad on Birch Haven. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I am sorry to hear the news about Charles' passing. I worked for Cochran Electric in Jackson, Michigan and worked with Charles for many years. He was kind, knowledgeable and very easy to work with. Consumers Power bought the switch board panels we built, that is how I knew Charles.
