Floyd J. Riethmiller

Riethmiller, Floyd J. Grass Lake, MI (Waterloo) Age 84, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, due to complications of colon cancer. He was born May 27, 1930 in Jackson, Michigan, the son of Floyd J. & Ruth Alice (Jones) Riethmiller Sr. Floyd graduated from Jackson High School in 1948, and served in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked for Chrysler from 1964-1989 as a driver/ mechanic. Floyd was a charter member of the International Harvester Club Chapter 11. He enjoyed tractor pulls, restoring International tractors, and collecting International Harvester memorabilia. He was a farmer for many years. On March 22, 1957, he married Jacqueline Weir in Chelsea, and she preceded him in death on August 19, 2011. He is survived by two daughters, Debra and Susan of Grass Lake. He was preceded in death by his son, Russell in 1964. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 11:00 am at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with Pastor Christine M. Beaudoin officiating. The family will receive friends Wed. 2-4 & 6-8, Friday 2-4 & 6-8. Private burial will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Waterloo. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Veterans organization of your choice.
