Joseph Mohr (1792-1848) Songwriter "Lyrics" of Silent Night. Pastor Edward Mohr was always proud of His grandfather from a long-long time ago, Pastor Joseph Mohr.
"Silent Night! Holy Night!" – This song from Austria touches and moves people around the world. Its simplicity and unaffected beauty make it the most harmonious musical accompaniment to Christmas festivities. The text of this early world hit was penned by Joseph Mohr in the form of a poem. He spent many years of his life working in Wagrain as a priest and caregiver.

I'm so touched by the beautiful service that was put on today(Jackson) you all did such a wonderful job in sharing your stories about this special man. Such a shock, our prayers go out to all of Ed's family. We have so many wonderful memories....golf outings, and travels....thank you Ed for the memories....
