To the Huffman family: We are so sorry to hear of your loss. We feel privileged to have known him and appreciate how he always was welcoming to us. A gentle giant that surely will be missed. Sincerely, Denise and Alfred Walker

My brother and I lived most of my life as a young child with my grandparents, will never forget in my youth going to Huffmans farm getting produce. We were always so excited. to go. He was so friendly, joking, always had us laughing and giggling. His memory I will never forget. My deepest sympathy to the family.

How do we count the ways that Howard filled our lives? He was the consumate teacher, showing our sons, Jeremy, Trevor, and d2 how to pick corn, grow tomatoes, drive a tractor, play soccer in the backyard or basketball on his court. My favorite time was at Christmas when Howard led the musical parade on his trombone with all the grandkids following around the house, playing and singing. Howard always had a thoughtful conversation with each of us whenever we wanted and searched for the deeper ideas that bring meaning into our lives. Howard has truly lived a full life and may he be at peace with no regrets for a life well lived.

I had the honor of working with Howard to plan his yearly crop of veggies that he specifically planted for the food bank. Howard always had a great story for me, made me laugh and taught me about agriculture. My memories of visiting with him and Rachel are very special to me and I treasure every time that I was able to make a trip to their home. I will miss him. He touched so many people with his kindness and all he wanted was a thank you. Thank you Howard for all that you did for me and our communities.

So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He was such a great guy to all of us kids when we were little. We had great fun on the farm. I always thought of him & those times fondly.

With sincere sympathy, Ruth (DeForest) Harrington
