My condolences to the Smith family. May you find comfort from God's word recorded at Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10 regarding the loss of your loved one.

Experiencing the death of a loved one is never a joyous occasion. May you find peace in knowing that soon, our creator will completely remove death forever.(1 Corinthians 15:26)

I am certain that the angels in heaven are smiling and have received Maxine! God is even saying "well done good and faithful servant!" We will miss you and the guidance that you so willingly gave to those who sought it. Thank you for all that you did and the legacy that you leave. May Smitty and your family find comfort during this difficult time, knowing that you have simply returned to the Father who had you on loan to us for 83 years.

John 3:16 says: "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life." In this verse it mentions that God loved the world so much that he gave is only-begotten son, so "everyone" exercising faith will have a chance of everlasting life. No color distinction made. The Almighty God Jehovah is a God of Justice, He has not changed (Malachi 3:6). Maxine's long hard fight for justice is so greatly appreciated. Thank You.

My sincere condolence to the Smith family. As you read the words of Almighty God at Isaiah 61:1, 2, may it comfort you in your time of grief.

Vasco...your mom was one of a kind. I always enjoyed hanging with her when she was in DC. She was always full of life and great cheer. Her legacy will live on in her deeds. She was blessed to get all her flowers and accolades while she was still here. Now, she can rest well knowing that that we all think of her having lived a life "well done." Dorinda White

With a career in civil rights, no doubt Mrs. Smith- was aware of what's recorded at Isaiah 2:4...that God "will render judgement among the nations and set matters straight respecting many peoples, and they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore." Her actions and strides in her career pointed toward this solution that God promises to make a reality for mankind.
