Prayers to the family of Uncle Pete. So many wonderful memories of Christmas at Mrs. Donies with all the Hickmans. Uncle Pete will be remembered and missed. Marty, Kevin, Karter and Katie Atkins

Janie, it was such a shock to find out about Pete this morning especially after running into you a few days ago while eating out in Jackson. If I had known about it before the services, I would have certainly come over to pay my respects as you have certainly always been there for my family during times of loss. Maybe I will get to see you before going back to CA. Take care and may Pete's memory always be for a blessing.

My condolences with your family thru these tough times. May you find comfort in your many memories. Please know the God of all comfort promises a time with no more pain, death or sorrow in the near future.

When I was a young lawyer in Trenton many years ago I did a fair amount of real estate work. Usually I would have dealings with Winfred or Ray or David---but a few times it was Mr. Hickman himself. In my office desk drawer I have a small knife he gave me after one project had finished. Over the years I have taken it out and reflected on Mr. Hickman. He had a presence about him that just spoke to you that this was a special man---intelligence, character and faith--and we all are better persons because he touched our lives. Tom Crider
