Please accept our sympathy for your loss, and our prayers that God sustain you in this time of sorrow. We are ever thankful for the work and sacrifice of your Soldier, James, and will honor his memory by keeping him and your family in our prayers.

To the family of James D. Riekena, I am writing from Bonners Ferry, ID My family name is Riekena, my Father is Kim Riekena and my late Grandparents were Dorothy and Richard (Dick) Riekena. My family is wondering if James is a relative. We share in your greif, even if there is no relation. It takes an incredibly brave and dedicated young person to fight for our country and we hold the utmost respect for all the men and women fighting for our freedom to live without the threat of terrorism. Our Dearest Sympathies.

I cry even as I write this. There is a hole left in the world since you left it. You were like a member of our family...Phillip misses you a great deal. He was proud to fight along side you in the first tour, and you were loved by everyone who knew you. I was unable to make your funeral today...Phillip, did though. I heard it was really nice with all the military honors. I'm sorry for your family and to the battle buddies you left behind in Baghdad. You saved lives and you are a hero! You will be forever missed, and never forgotten.God Bless your soul.
