James,

Those summers at Camp Brinkley together were great, and I don't have a single memory of you in a negative light. You were a great guy, great with children, and I can only imagine a great soldier as well. I know that the example you set in my past makes me a better person, a better soldier, and a better medic.

My name is Barb Shillinger and I send you my most sincere condolences on the loss of James. I am the WA state coordinator for the Home of the Brave Quilt Project. We are volunteers making a Civil War reproduction quilt for the family of each of our Fallen from WA. We ask nothing of the families except an address to which we can mail the quilt when it is finished. Please contact me as James' quilt is finished and waits to be mailed to his mom, Pat. And, again, I am so sorry for your great loss. Barb Shillinger
