To Rhonda, George, Randy and of course Rich & Anita

There are no words I can say to take away the pain, or even describe how much James met (and always will) to me.
So I will tell how James and I met.
It was in Emergency Cardiac Care class, Jan of 1995.
James was a Marine, and like James my Father was a Marine, he served for 20 years and then retired at Camp Pendleton, he died from condition caused by his serving in Vietnam,
So in my eyes the Marines took my Father away from me.
Because James was a Marine I didn't want anything to do with him, but no matter how determined I was not to be friends with James, he was even more determined to become friends and then even more.
He constantly picked on me, chased me around with a water gun that he had won in class, and somehow always managed to become my partner in class.
By the end of the semester, James not only won my friendship but my heart.
James was able to help me understand the pride and honor of being in the military especially being a Marine.
I am now able to say I am proud to be military brat.
I am so very proud of both James and my Father.
But unfortunately my worst fears in the world came true, and now my heart is broken.
I have no regret about giving my heart to James, I feel very honored and Blessed to not only have been able to love James but to have been loved by him.
I would rather have a broken heart that's full of love and memoires, then a whole heart that's empty.
I thank James for all that he has given and taught me.
I just hope that I was able to give him the same in return.
I do regret not going up and spending the month of Oct 2003 with him like he asked me to, and I hope he understood I couldn't get away, and that he can forgive me for that.
James and I kept in close touch, e-mailing daily, and typical James caring about others, when I told him how worried and scared I was, his last e-mail on 4/28 was not to worry about him, that he was bored but safe.
I will love him forever and always
All of you will be in my prayers and thoughts.
I have added a picture of James and myself from one of the Marine balls we attended.

With Rhonda's approval I am in the process of making a web page dedicated to James.
it should be done sometime next week, I will post when it's done.
