I first met Jason (MAJ George) at FT. Bragg, prior to deploying to Iraq in April. He, like several other soldiers, was called up for duty and assigned to the Old Hickory Brigade, to deploy along with approximately 4000 soldiers to Iraq. Although he may or may not have wanted to leave his civilian life, he answered the call to duty. Jason was and is a man of Honor. Although I didn't know him well, I'm sure he remains duty-bound. God Speed man!

I didn't know Jason at all, but I am inspired by the words of his friends. He sounds like the kind of guy anyone would want as a friend. Bless his family as they go through this difficult time. And remembering why he died, gives me pause. I worked for the B-School for 23 years and know the quality of students it has nortured, Jason sounds like one of the best of the best.

I had the chance to work under Jason for a few months while at Deloitte. He taught me many things about teamwork, collaboration and management. His calm demeanor was re-assuring and made me feel we could conquer any obstacle that came our way. I often started the day by asking him how he was doing to which he’d reply “livin’ the dream”. I think he meant it, he was genuinely happy and tried to get the most out of every single day. I miss him. My prayers go out to his family and friends.

I learned of Jason's passing on July 2 from our very close friend Nikki Parra. I have known Jason for 21 years and met him at Cal State Bakersfield. From the moment we met, we were great friends and despite our distance across the country (he at West Point and me at UCSB), we remained inseparable. In fact, Jason became my little brother and me his big sis. I will cherish all the time and memories we created together. I love him and will miss him forever.

My heart and prayers go out to you Candy and Hugh. Jason has touched the lives of many and made this world a better place for all of us.
