Switzer Family and Friends:
News of your loss reached me today; I am sorry I was not aware earlier.
Obviously, no words are sufficient. However, I hope you can get some small degree of comfort from knowing that, during the 1966-67 basketball season, Doug's energy, dedication, and bulldog competitiveness helped create a lifelong memory for ten other young men ... and for me. On behalf of Ken, Kenny, Noel, Bob, Tom, Lynn, Jim, Phil, Brian, and Terry - "Thanks, Doug!" His teammates knew that when the game was close late ... and we went to "Pass and Go Away" ... the ball was in good hands. Now, all too early, God has called Doug to "pass and go away." Let us spend some time in grief ... but far more time in celebration of a life well-lived. His teammates from the 1967 Seeger Indians Sectional Champions, and I, express our sympathy and ... even more so ... our love and appreciation.

Susan, Tom & Mr. & Mrs. Switzer;

The grief I felt when I heard of Dougs' passing was almost over-whelming. My entire family is very sorry for your loss. We also pray that God will give you the peace that only HE can. I am so sorry; Doug was my friend.
