Danm, I know that I'm not alone when I say, you'll be missed.
Thanks for your humor, your music and your humanity.

My husband and I were just watching a movie called "W.W. and the Dixie Dance King." Needless to say, I decided to do a search and found this webpage. I am completely overcome. I did not realize that Jerry had left us. Years ago (probably about 33-34 years ago) when we were newly married and went to Miller Theater (Hermann Park) in Houston, Texas for a free concert (something we could afford at the time), we got the special joy of hearing Jerry Reed with a young band that he put together. He truly was "one-of-a-kind" and I liked him ever since I first heard "When You're Hot You're Hot" in a bowling alley at the age of fifteen. Have his music and have watched him in the movies. His sense of humor and his sense of generosity came across in his many ventures. Guess I am trying to say that we loved the guy even though we never personally got to meet him. (The closest we came was Miller Theater). I am glad that he was here .. but sorry that he was here for such a short time. Hoping his family feels comfort knowing that so many loved Mr. Jerry Reed.
