In Loving Memory of Jesse McCord Lewis

Today, December 14, 2013, we pay tribute to a brave six year old boy
Who acted more of a soldier bringing all who knew him great joy.

Upon entering the gates of heaven Jesus was waiting there
To give him a special star in his crown for the lives he helped spare.

Being full of life with a radiant and infectious smile
Jesse saved the lives of his classmates jeopardizing his own life all the while.

Being alert and vigilant beyond his years
He warned his friends, hearing a sound that just didn't fit, putting away his fears.

He loved everyone and was passionate about life all around
The courage showed by one so young was profound.

But the love and adoration he had for J.T. his big brother
Was a love and affection like no other.

Oh, but Jesse's happy with his classmates in heaven enjoying a breakfast if you please
A breakfast with hot chocolate and a sandwich of sausage, egg and cheese.

Donning his favorite attire of ripped jeans, t-shirt, Army helmet and boots with no socks
He rides his horse through the green pastures of heaven jumping over fences and rocks.

And after a hard day of play he goes to sleep in Jesus' arms
Knowing his friends are safe from all harm.

Now let us get on bended knee and give thanks to God for the life of young Jesse who just a year ago
Saved the lives of children who will live on because he was their 'biggest little' hero!
