11 angel legend
March 05, 2014
Jim Fregosi was one of my favorite players of all times. He was very personable with fans and just a very lovable looking man. Eventhough I live in TEXAS, I was originally a Califonian and he will always be an Angel to me. I can just imagine the Dream Team he is joining upstairs. God bless him. My heart goes out to his family. He was definitely one of the best.

I just learned of Mr. Fregosi's passing. I and my colleagues became acquainted with him when he periodically came to our walk in clinic. His personality was infectious and always brightened up our day with jokes and smile. He often talked about how he didn't understand how his wife put up with him and would often tell us about the nice cruises he and his wife enjoyed! He loved his children and bragged on them often. He never bragged about himself and was very humble. We are very saddened that he's passed on to his new life, but know he made a lasting mark in everyone's heart! Our prayers are with his wife and children. May God comfort you in your time of grief. Heaven gained another Angel!

I became an Angel fan because of Jim because of his style of play. RIP

Sorry for your loss. Ps 37:29
February 24, 2014
It was during pre-game batting practice at Old Comiskey Park in Chicago, sometime during the mid-1960s. I was a young stumpy peach-faced kid, wearing a White Sox hat, and hanging on the fence near the visitor's on-deck circle. A player wearing an enemy uniform, the Angels, was practicing his swing not far from where I stood. Suddenly, he turned to me and said, "I guess a good White Sox fan like you wouldn't take a baseball from an Angels player, would you?". I straightened up immediately, and replied, "Yes, I would! Yes, I would!". The enemy player grinned, leaned over and tossed me a baseball. I still have it to this day. That "enemy" ballplayer was Jim Fregosi. I am still a White Sox fan, but on that day, at Old Comiskey Park in the 1960s, I instantly became his greatest life-long fan. God Bless You, James Louis Fregosi.

I loved, as did many, many others, Jim Fregosi. This wonderfully bright, spirited and gregarious man, gave this 22 young Shortstop, the chance to play and stood in my corner when I was blessed to have him back me as the starter in the 1979 ALCS. That...was Jim's way. Doing things, and making decisions His way. No words can adequately describe the loss we will feel in not being graced by his presence, in this life, but God has just promoted a true Angel. Blessings and prayers to the entire Fregosi Family, and Jim Jr., I will see you in Anaheim and share with you the hugs I always had with your dad.

To the Fregosi Family,
Worked with Joni in Louisville, and met Jim when they started dating. You knew right away that these two were meant to build a life and a family together. Jim touched the lives of so many, and will be fondly remembered and missed by all that knew him.

To the Family,
Sorry for the loss of your loved one. Your warm memories will bring you some comfort during this painful loss. Always remember that God is your strength during this difficult time. (Psalm 28:7)
