Patty:

I can't tell you how much I always enjoyed seeing you guys at the Tiger functions and the parties at Fred's. Please know that all of the campers believed Jim was truly a friend and that means a great deal to everyone.

He was just one of the best.

Much love to the family.

Jim Northrup was such a great ballplayer whose heroics on the field inspired many young Tiger fans everywhere. His courage in facing the constant pain of Rhumetoid Arthritis should be an inspiration to those same youngsters as they advance in years. Jim was always a gentleman and my wife and I always enjoyed seeing him and speaking to him at card shows and the times he attended events with the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame. Thanks for all of the photos, autographs and smiles Jim!

I grew up following Jim's career in baseball being he was my first cousin and what a joy it was to have him as part of our family and to follow along in his success. Our condolences to all. Thinking of you Jerry and all the family.
