I met Joe Kubert at the graduation of my daughter and son-in-law from the Kubert School. He had kind and encouraging words for their talents and future. As a parent, I am grateful to Joe for his school and his daily influence as an artist, educator, and humanitarian. He was a gentleman in the truest sense of the word.

It's hard to imagine comics without him. I believe he had the longest run of productive work of any comic book artist, ever. His work at age 85 was as good as his work at age 40, if not better.
