Walk A Mile In My Shoes and The Games People Play...truest songs ever written. I was 12 when those songs were popular, but clearly remember my Dad telling me he knew every word to those songs. Ha!! He said he only listened once but "knew it by heart". Strong and powerful force of music and insight Joe. Rest in Peace.

Our condolences to his family. My father had the opportunity to work with both Joe and his late brother early in their careers. He thought very highly of the talented South brothers.

Whenever I hear his songs I travel back to a wonderful time in my life. R.I.P. Joe.

Joe penned so many great songs that he and other artists made into hits that were the soundtrack of us "baby-boomers" lives. Joe we lived realtively close to each other. Go with God and rest easy my brother.

This brought a tear to my eye. There was a song I believe called: Home that I liked so much among his many songs. The God Lord now has you among his choir.

So sad. Down in the Boondocks was my very first record as a young girl. Hope and prayers are powerful tools!! May God embrace Joe and take him home!!!!
