We hope that as time has passed, your pain has eased a little, but probably not. Please know that all of you are in our prayers, that God will wrap you in His comfort. John was a light that shone but briefly, but that light reached so many people! That he was such an inspiration is God's miracle, & we hope it brings you peace. We send you our love!

to the Challis family,What a beutiful and inspiring story on tv.My heart goes out to you all.I know what you are going through as I lost my 14 yr old kind of the same way.I see my son Dan in your son John. They were two great kids living life to the fullest. They are in a far better place and will always be around, trust me.Just remember you had him for 18 yrs and nobody else did.I wouldnt trade that for anything.God gave them to us for a reason and them touching everyone around them has changed us all.We will see them again because time on earth is so short.God bless all of you and I hope the best for all of you. To the Challis family, I would like to thank you for bringing such a wonderful individual into this world. For a boy to only live on this earth for 18 years, he sure did live a fulfilling life. I would like to let you know that John Challis' story has had an impact on my life and I will never forget this courageous young man.

Rest in Peace John. The first time i heard of your story, i heard what was said, but i wasnt really listening. A learned of your death a few weeks after you had already passed, and instantly i was in shock. I wanted so much to learn more about you, who you were, what you had gone through, and how in the world you accomplished all you accomplished. I cried each and every time i read an article of your struggles, and felt sorrow in my heart for all who had the amazing opportunity to meet you, for you we will never again have the change to stand before your grace. I was inspired to write an article in your memory for my school's newspaper and continue to learn more about you each and every day. You have truly changed me, and i no longer will grumble and complain over the smallest trials that live may hand me, for you have handle the greatest test of all, and you handled with with such strength. Thank you for everything you have given me, and thank you for your courage. You have truly changed this world forever...

Help From God

“God is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirt he saves.”
“Throw your burden upon God himself, and he himself will sustain you.” If talking out your feelings with a sympathetic friend can help, how much more will pouring out your heart to “the God of all comfort” help you!—2 Corinthians 1:3.

God can equip you with “power beyond what is normal” to go from one day to the next. (2 Corinthians 4:7) God can help you to endure any and every problem you may face.

What a brave and beautiful young man your John was! I agree with the Barnes family below. The Scriptures promise,"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth."

The Prayer that is recited SO often says,"let Thy Kingdom Come..." Yes! Then in Paradise we will be reunited with the dear ones who died so unfairly, and who we miss so much!
My deepest sympathies!
