John "Murph" Murphy was "the day crew's" first Fire Chief in the 1970s, when Jeff Selvideo, Will Paul, "the Twins" (Kirk and Karl Nelson) and myself spent so many hours at the East Great Plain firehouse through our high-school and college years.
