John Hughes, you were a defining light of my adolescence and beyond. Your movies, so many of them, are some of the greatest of all time and are so near and dear to my heart. You were a major influence in my life and I appreciate your work. You are the greatest filmaker of all time in my opinion. Thank you.

Wow...where do I start. John, you are responsible for so many wonderful childhood memories. As I grew up I learned how terrible things are in this world, but your work shielded my childhood from such things- for that I am so grateful beyond words. I grieve your absence ... I feel close to you. God Bless you and thank you for: weird science, breakfast club, and sixteen candles.
