My condolences to the Kucks family. My dad who died in 1980 was John A Kucks often called Jack or Jake. He grew up in Brooklyn on Rogers Ave. I was born in 1954 and grew up in Atlantic Highlands, Red Bank and Middlesex NJ. I believe he and Johnny were cousins. I have collected several of Johnny's signed items and cards. I wish I had met him. Much love to the family.

Johnny was a great person and friend at Dickinson High School where we both attended in the early 1950's. Always had a smile and friendly attitude towards everyone. I never got to meet his family, but I'm sure he was the greatest Dad anyone could have had. I've devoted a page to him on my website at

To the Kucks family,
I attending. Grace church with you and wanted to send my sympathies. May God lift you up and give you his peace. It was nice to read about your dad. I never knew he played baseball, but it seems that his real legacy was his character. Thinking of all of you and keeping you in my prayers .
