When I was a child of 13 my time was often spent in torment at the hands of an abusive stepfather. The self titled "Brooklyn Bridge" LP was amongst a handful of vinyl records I had access to, I would often escape into the dramatic music and lyrics of "Welcome Me Love", Blessed Is The Rain, Free As The Wind and the entire work of art that is that LP. To this day it remains a favorite LP of mine. Music has this way of saving ones self respect and adding a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you Johnny Maestro & The Brooklyn Bridge. The world is fortunate to have your legacy in music. For as long as I shall live I will always be a fan.

I don't have a lot of regrets in my life, but one big one is that I never got to hear/see you sing live. BB's first album is one of my all time favorites, and your voice is among the top 2 or 3 of all time. Many thanks, RIP, and I hope to meet you in heaven.

Was at the Westbury Theatre every time you appeared in the Doo Wop Shows. Loved your songs and your voice, Even in later years, your voice never changed, You still sounded as you did when you first performed 16 Candles. You are greatly missed, We love you

Johnny Maestro was the epitome of the great music of the fifties and early sixties, my era. (I am 74) He can never be matched.
