I attended Church w/ the Wright Family @ Madison COC in 1960-61. My brother-in-law; Ray Kemo was a steel player who went on the road w/them as a bus-driver a few times after he left ET's group.. He said they were the best group he had ever travelled with and he had played with many country & western groups.
I saw Mrs. Kitty regularly for several years @ the grocery and she always took time for a short chat. The last time I saw their daughter Ruby was at the grocery. She was a lovely person also, whom we miss greatly.
There is no better family in the Madison neighborhood, IMO.
I wish to send love & Prayers to Mrs Kitty, Bobby, Sue & all the extended family, especially to GGranddaughter, Angelia-who is the only extended family member whom I know personally.
May God, in his infinite wisdom wrap you in his loving arms and help you through this time of grief.
Johnnie will be sorely missed by the entire country music community, and all those who knew & loved him.
The Wrights have one of Country Music's most revered families and we are all blessed to have had the privilege to have them in our midst.
in Christian Love,
