I did not know Don Ladas, but listening to him on WJOL was a fond memory of my childhood. We ate meals at 12 noon and 6 p.m. hearing his voice. RIP.

Dear MaryLou,Sheri,and family,
The Drach family has many great memories of a wonderful man. We remember when he and Terry coached T ball together.Don had such patience with the little ones. You are all blessed to have had him in your lives, and he will always be with you. What a role model he was for his family and all who knew him! A true gentleman.

Don, long ago you brought me into journalism and now you sign off from radio and the Joliet community. You'll always be in communication with Mary Lou and the family. My sympathy for your family.

Mary Lou and family. My condolences to you on the loss of your beloved Don. Just as you had to share him in life, you will share his memory with all who knew and respected him. I worked for him at the Will County Sportsman, both in sales and as a writer, and I worked with him in all aspects of bowling. He was the greatest in his field, and will always be missed. May he rest in peace, and may you find peace in cherishing his memory.
