Rest in Peace Dr. Webb

Dr. Drummond Webb operated on our daughter at one year old at the Cleveland Clinic, and we are positive he saved her life. After surgery he came out and apoligized for taking so long. He told us there was more wrong with her little heart than the tests showed. Heather is a very happy and healthy 13 year old now and we know it was because Dr. Webb did everything he could to save her. I thank god everyday for Dr. Jonathan Drummond Webb.

In reflecting on my own life these past few days, for whatever reason, you came into my mind. I never met you. I came to know of you through the TV series, Arkansas Children's Hospital - Pediatric ICU. I sat in awe of you, your talent, your dedication and your commitment to your patients and their families. The world and those families were so blessed to have you and you were blessed to have such a wonderful wife who selflessly encouraged you to pursue your passion. I pray she is doing well, and that you are with the Lord, and at peace. By the 106+ pages of postings, you were a well loved, well respected man who is still remembered fondly and greatly missed.

10 years ago today Dr. Drummond-Webb performed an 8 1/2 hour surgery on our daughter Morgan. Then he stayed at her bed side over night. My wife and I are so grateful for him, his talent, and his passion. Without him, she may not be with us today. Thank you Dr. Drummond-Webb for saving our daughter. I wish you were still with us so that she could meet you and thank you in person.

Dr. Drummond-Webb. I am so grateful that you were able to save as many lives as you did, including mine. I was only five at the time, but I want to thank you now for fixing my heart. You will never be forgotten in my heart that you mended.

Dr. Drummond-Webb, I think of you so often, and how I am always eternally grateful for the time God allowed you to be one of His angels here on this earth. Rhea is now 8 years old and has touched the lives of every person that gets to meet and know her. Her cardiologist has said many times over, how amazing it is that her heart repairs have sustained for so beautifully for over 7 years now. But you are the reason why. Your divine hand upon the reconstruction of her heart at 3 and 6 months old, are the same hands that are upon her today and every day. I had a slight concern in Apr '09 that the result of her heart-cath was going to result in setting a surgery date. But as you already know, we did not need to go to surgery. I hope you heard my words of grace that day and everyday I think of you. Later that same day, Rhea & I saw a perfect heart shaped cloud in the sky, resting on a flat horizontal cloud. And the heart was the only pink cloud in the sky. Rhea & I saw it simultaneously and ran to get her grandma to witness the sighting. And I wanted to thankyou again for validating my acknowledgement of you. You performed so many miracles while here, and I already know, first hand, that your miracles continue. Just on a much larger scale. I was grateful for your existence then, and I am grateful for your existence now. Thank you Dr. Drummond-Webb for sustaining my beautiful, precious child's life. Please continue to stay close. For I find great comfort in knowing your close by, still protecting, saving and sustaining your heart-babies. Thank you continually, for being a forever angel helping God to bestow His blessings upon so so many lives and hearts. Your light will always shine. God bless you.

Here it is, the year 2010, and our child, Daryl Trotter, just left his annual heart checkup with another clean bill of health.
I still cannot believe that one of the two persons responsible is no longer around to thank. Dr. Drummond-Webb, you're still missed and we think of you every time we look at our healthy son.
