I do not know your family. But I am so thankful for your husband's and father's work. Everyday my life is going to be different because I have encountered Paul's story. As a fellow Missouri resident, I can look upon the beautiful trees change color in the autumn and enjoy the white blankets of snow on the valley because of Paul and the other soldiers. Paul is a hero.

”Honor and Remember” - “Project Compassion” We love our Soldiers! We love our country and we cannot express enough love and compassion to the families of our fallen heroes. War does not discriminate – It breaks our hearts to see the faces of the fallen. We want to give this gift to the hero’s Mother, Father and/or spouse. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization! Over 1,800 portraits have been completed and shipped to the parents and or spouse - at no cost as this is a gift from one American to another!
This is a gift! We have some wonderful sponsors who help with the costs, and only want you know that we care.
Contact us directly at Projectcompassion@manti.com or go to www.heropaintings.com . If you have already had a portrait completed, we pray that you are enjoying the portrait and God Bless You.
Sincerely and Respectfully,

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Sgt Brooks Family:
My husband is in Iraq now with the NCARNG 30th HBCT...My deepest sympathy for your family...
I would like to share with you that the federal government has decided to pay for college education for each child who has a parent who died in the line of duty while on active duty, this became effective 8/2009. Please see "Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry" scholarship information...it is part of the GI Bill now....Hopefully, this will be of benefit to your children.
God Bless you and strengthen you, may he watch over you and your children.
