I too had the honor of serving with SGT Brooks, I remember how happy he was when he was promoted while we were in Iraq in 06-07. I always will remember him in the medics office with that rubber chicken hanging from the ceiling, He was always passionate about his wife and children
and always listened to soldiers about medical issues. He gave his life doing what he loved and this will never be forgotten. I know all of us in the OSAA-OSACOM family will never forget his service. May God Keep his family safe.

I had the honor to meet Sgt Brooks recently at Ft. McCoy, WI and he was certainly one of the best and had a tremendous impact on my view of life. Words cannot describe how this has shaken me to my core.

To his family, my deepest, heartfelt condolences. Sgt Brooks was definitely a HERO!

Paul and I were in Iraq together in 06-07. He was a very unique man, always stood his ground when he thought something wasn't right. He was a good NCO and will be missed deeply.

A few of us would go to his office and you would see him hanging photos of his wife, or drawings from his children. God Bless and my prayers are with his family, you will never be forgotten.

I had the honors of serving with SGT Brooks in Iraq during 2006-2007. He was a great man, always there when you needed him. He loved his family so much and talked about them all the time. He adored being a medic; loved being able to help people whenever they needed it. I am deeply sorry for your loss and he will be greatly missed.

Paul , God bless you soldier and thank you for your service to a grateful nation, forever we will mourn you and all of our fallen heroes both before and after you. On 5/6/08 my nephew PFC Aaron J. Ward was killed in action in Iraq while on a routine patrol. My promise to him was that I would never forget him but also those fallen before and after him. When I made that promise to him the day we laid him to his final resting place I did not realize how often I would need to make entries on Legacy and it just breaks my heart knowing that so many other families have and will continue to feel the pain that our family has endured. Since the loss of my nephew I have written on every single legacy page of every fallen soldier and included a photo of my nephew. I encourage you to do the same to Aaron's page. I have done this to honor my nephew but to let you know Paul is not alone and my nephew is with him and they are now in God's gracious hands waiting for us to join them one day. Brooks family from the bottom of my heart please except my sincere condolences and may the memories of your Hero carry you through each day for he will never be forgotten!

Thank you Sgt. Paul F. Brooks for defending my Freedoms. It is because of great American patriots such as you that Americans continue to board airplanes with confidence and the people of this city can live without fear.

You will always be remembered with love and great pride by the grateful nation you served to protect.

Rest in peace.

I was in 68W class in April with SGT Brooks, and he is the epitome of a hero. He was an NCO to his bones. Although he was a student, he taught us just as much as the instructors did. He will truly be missed by those of us in the Oregon National Guard.

Please know how Deeply Sorry I am to learn of the loss of Sgt. Paul F. Brooks, the Price this Brave Soldier and his family have paid for this country and for freedom, Will Never Be Forgotten.

May Paul, Rest Safely now, in the Loving Care of God and may God's Healing Grace be with the Brooks family.
There will Never Be Enough Ways to Humbly Thank these Young Heroes for their Sacrifices, my brother among them. Killed in action in Vietnam, in 1967.

"I consider that our present sufferings, are not worth comparing with the glory that shall be revealed in us."
