We offer our heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of 1st. Lt. Helton, and we honor his distinguished service to the cause of freedom and liberty. Sadly, America has lost one of its finest heroes, the U.S. has lost a friend and protector, and a family has lost an example of character and courage, which they will love and respect forever. Today, because of the sacrifice 1st. Lt. Helton has made, the house of freedom is stronger, sturdier, and more secure.

To the family and friends, of 1st. Lt. Helton, I would like you to know that a lot of people pray for you, and my hope is that their prayers will give you the strength necessary to carry on. Just as you were always with him when he was deployed overseas, know that he will always be with you wherever you may be. In the days to follow, may you be strengthened by the fact that 1st. Lt.Helton is a man distinguished by exceptional courage and will always be admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. You, your family and your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

1st. Lt. Helton the flag of the United States of America has your blood sewn into the fabric; it shall wave forever in your honor.

Freedom requires sacrifice the protected will never know.

Joseph was a wonderful young man. Joseph was loved by all that knew him. He was always one of those guys that if you had a daughter you would want your daughter to marry him. He was a good friend to my son, Eli. They graduated together. They played soccer together and Joseph was a big part of their soccer team. We loved to watch him throw the ball in from the sideline into the goal or very near the goal. It was unbelievable. That boy could throw a soccer ball. We always knew Joseph would be SOMEBODY. He is somebody. He is a hero and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I did not know Joseph, but I am honored that he fought for our country. My husband is in the Army and I am always worried. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during their time of need. Phil. 4:13

"Surely He hath borne our grief,
and carried our sorrows."
~ Isaiah 53:4 ~

May you find comfort and strength, in the beautiful memories of times spent with Joseph, and quietly and gently, may healing come, with each new day.
You are in my thoughts and my prayers.

Since meeting Joe in training, he was always one to listen and give good sound advice. His time was too short and he will be missed by all. I will hold a special place in my heart for Joe.
