The sport of motorcycle drag racing sends solace to the Mattioli family at the loss of their patriarch..and thanks for the opportunity to race at the Pocono Cycle Jam the largest motorcycle only crowd to watch our sport. Building the speedway was bold, and his operations, wise.
Godspeed.Doc.

To Dr.Rose and family, I had the great pleasure of meeting Doc in the garage area at Pocono he was the kind of person you just wanted to kling yourself to, so kind, caring and really compassionate. I gave him a pack of cards of his friend Benny Benson and one would think I gave him gold. He wanted a picture taken with me and the General Peter Pace and it was published in the track book 2007 year. I have many memories of Pocono Raceway and for sure I will never forget meeting Doc. May God Bless the family at this time

To Dr Rose and the Mattioli Family,
My heartfelt sympathy to all of you. Doc Mattioli was and will forever be an icon in the racing world, his foresight and ingenuity will be remembered for a long time into the future. God will be good to him as he helped so many along the way in his life.

There was never a time when he did not help those less fortunate, and always anonymously. May he rest in peace

My deepest sympathy goes out to the entire Mattioli family. He truly was a man with a tremendous heart. I will miss seeing him at the track. It just won't feel the same. God bless him.
