September 13, 2015 Mr. Summerall had a real gift. He could make you forget your troubles for a few hours. He called most of the big NFL Games. I was always disappointed when he wasn't covering the game or team I wanted to see. I knew his voice so well that I could even tell when he was not feeling 100%. It was the year the Vikings and the Redskins played in the NFC Championship game. It was 1987 or 1988.
