JAMES ALVIN YOUNG, 75 HANOVER - James Alvin Young, age 75, of Hanover died Sunday, August 25, 2013, at Manor Care in Dubuque, Iowa. He was born to Walter and Ann (Artmnan) Young, of Elizabeth, Illinois on December 3, 1937. He worked at various employers through the years including Atwoods, the Savanna Army Depot, and farmed for most of his life. James married Jill Marie Kolb on January 26, 1963. James was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, riding his 4-wheeler, and sitting by his pond. He is survived by two brothers; two sisters; his daughter, Dawn Young; granddaughter, Alex Wirzbach; grandson, Ben Wirzbach; son, Raymond (Adrea) Young; and step-granddaughter, Tori Soat. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jill; and both parents. The family will be having a private ceremony. Cremation rites have been accorded. The family wishes that any memorials be directed to the American Heart Association in James' memory.

Sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Always good to visit when stopping in Eliz. He always had some stories to tell of Back When A good man. Paul & Shirley Fox.
