RACINE - Arthur L. Dessart, 69, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan- All Saints Medical Center on Wednesday, November 12, 2008. A lifetime resident, Art was born in Racine on May 8, 1939 to the late Arthur J. and Eveline (nee: Mevis) Dessart. He was employed for many years as a security officer at Jacobsen Mfg. Art also worked for SC Johnson Wax. Art was an accomplished musician. As an extremely talented guitarist, he had a great appreciation for classic, country and jazz music. Above all, he was happiest when in the surroundings of his entire family and circle of friends. Surviving are his loving wife of 17 years, Muyga (nee: Kim); father, Arthur J. Dessart; brother, Robert (Barbara) Dessart; nieces, Beverly (Steve) Morin and Beth (David) Bradshaw; and devoted friends, Kwang Lee and Ryan Reed. Art was preceded in death by his mother, Eveline. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 10 a.m.. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday from 9 until 10 am. To Arts Family, you all are in my thoughts and prayers, may GOD bless you all and keep Art's memories alive. Everytime I saw him he always had that smile on his face, he was a great man and a wonderful husband. Art, you will be missed deeply but never forgotten.

I am so very sorry to hear about Art. My sympathy to his family and friends. I knew Art during the time he lived in Sturtevant, and I recall happy times when we'd get together with friends and Art would play guitar. With my prayers that he is at peace, and may peace be with all those who have been closest to him.

my prays go to dessert family, art was a good guy, he loves his music, and beauity in people. i will be surely miss him, he was one my first love.

I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I could be there for all of you, but I am in Texas and am not able to get back. Art was a great man and I loved him like a brother. I will miss him.
