Donald Leathers Obituary

Leathers, Donald N. Age 74, of Wind Lake, WI, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014, while wintering in Gulf Shores, AL with his beloved wife Betty Cox-Leathers. Born in Bath, MI, he spent most of his life living in the Milwaukee area. Don was a devoted husband, loving father, caring grandfather, uncle and friend to all. He will be deeply missed by his son, Michael N. (Candace) Leathers of Elkhorn, WI; his daughter, Crystal A. Rozanske of Mukwonago; and his daughter-in-law, Katrina M. Cox of Whitefish Bay; in addition to his cherished grandchildren, Hunter and Sterling Leathers; Nathan, Mikayla, Mariah and SiSi Rozanske; and Griffen and Lindsay Cox. Don is also survived by sisters, Barb (Don) Gulick, Mary (Terry) Canfield; brothers-in-law, Dan Dugan and Bernard (Kimmy) Li; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents Shirl and Charlotte Leathers, brother Edwin Leathers, sister Joan Lett and her husband Ralph Lett, sister Kay Dugan, and step son Jim Cox. A memorial will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at the Church and Chapel Funeral Home at 15250 W. National Ave., New Berlin, WI. Visitation will be from 1:00PM to 3:30PM with a memorial service at 3:30PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Don's favorite charity, the ASPCA of Wisconsin. Each time we think of Don we remember so many wonderful times. We celebrated our friendship at great parties, dinners and time spent enjoying the Gulf Shores. Don will never be truly from our thoughts because he so kind and a truly wonderful friend. We will miss his smile and endearing personality. We only wish we could be with Betty and family to celebrate his wonderful life. Please accept our ongoing love and condolences. Don, we love and miss you already!
